> Haircutting:> From razored to classic lined scissor cuts to curly cuts. Erica has a wide range, but loves unique shapes for her clients.

> Haircolor:> Color correcion, all over blondes, fantasy colors, foil highlights or painted.

> Haircutting> : Lots of heat styling or flat ironing, clients looking for a quick in and out experience.

> Haircolor:> Clients not open to change or flexibility to reach their color goals.

What do love most about working at Lumine?

I love my coworkers! I also love that we are always up-to-date on the new trends. Nancy is constantly delivering us amazing education which keeps things exciting and fresh.

What are your hobbies or interests?

I love spending time with my family, digging at thrift stores, making jewelry, dancing, creating electronic music, holistic healing, eccentric photoshoots, and cuddling cats.

 

How long have you been doing hair?

I've been doing hair since early 2018.

How long have you been a team member at Lumine?

I've been with Lumine Salon since the summer of 2019.

Why did you get into the hair industry?

I’d been coloring my friends' hair and my own for years, and decided it was a great fit for my creative nature and love of caring for others.

Tell us about your education and background:

School of life! Ha. I studied hair at Mitsu Sato Academy. Originally, I studied broadcast journalism but decided that traditional education was not for me. I still enjoy taking classes; most recently I've taken classes on sewing and analog photography.

I've worked office jobs to jobs in the service industry and always enjoyed small local businesses the best. I found my real passion while working in the KC art and music community. From assisting on a kids’ variety show, to helping make music videos or performing live at local venues. it’s been an exciting journey.

How would you describe your work?

From fantastical and bold to classic and detailed, I liked creating a look that works for the client. Staying open allows my skills to shine in many situations.

What are you most passionate about in your job and why?

Hair is the accessory we never take off. I really enjoy helping people create their dream hair! It’s really rewarding to make others feel excited and renewed. I also love the friendships that develop with clients and how they grow with time!
