How long have you been doing hair?

I’ve been doing hair since early 2017.

How long have you been a team member at Lumine?

Since January 2020.

What is your education and background?

I'm from Birmingham, Alabama. I worked as an apprentice at Wheelhouse Salon in Birmingham under an incredible teacher and Master stylist, Courtney Grimes. I received my certification in May of 2019 and worked as a stylist there until my relocation to Kansas City in December 2019. It's my first time living outside of Alabama and I love KC!

What are your notable accomplishments and continuing education classes you have attended?

I have attended some amazing classes over the last 2.5 years, a few include:

  • Multiple color/cutting classes at Local Honey in Nashville with Brian Hickman

  • In and out of salon Oribe styling, cutting, and product knowledge classes

  • In salon razor cutting class with R+Co educator Douglas McCoy and co founder Howard Mclaren

  • Razor cutting class with Jacob Khan

  • Toni and Guy 4 day classic cutting class in Dallas in January 2019 with Lumine Salon.

  • Pony Studios in salon razor cutting class in February 2020 with Lumine Salon

How would you describe your work?

I love working with my client’s natural texture and their personality to create a look that is not only unique and interesting, but one that really makes them feel like their most authentic self. Making someone feel special when they look in the mirror is so incredibly rewarding and it's definitely the best part of being a stylist.
